BLACK CORAL - DIVING AREAS 
MANTAPLACE
This dive site is one of the most distant one and it takes
about 45 min. by boat to reach it. It always requires a
lot of luck to encounter big fish underwater but at this
spot the chances are always high to see manta rays and whalesharks.
A very large number of small moray eels are found here,
one of them the ghost moray eel. The manta place varies
between a depth of 15 to 24 m and offers also a large diversity
of corals and their inhabitants.
BLACK CORAL
This location is only suitable for experienced divers. At
a depth of 30 to 40 m one finds the famous black coral.
Its appearance is very unobtrusive and only very few divers
recognise it. Another attraction is the blue and golden
cucumaia or sea cucumber, which is very rare. It can often
been watched feeding by filtering plankton out of the water.
There are also huge basket sponges reaching up to 1 to 1,5
m in height, inside which you frequently discover fish,
which reside in this natural shelter. This whole reef is
overgrown with whip wire corals.
